Am 22. März 2006 ging die Internationale Handwerksmesse mit der Verleihung der Bayerischen Staatspreise und der Bundespreise für Innovation zuende. Das neue Konzept der Messe mit einer übersichtlicheren Gleiderung ist aufgegangen: 206.000 Besucher kamen in diesem Jahr zur Internationalen Handwerksmesse. Gegenüber dem Vorjahr ist das ein Plus von 14%.

Die positive Resonanz der Besucher konnte man auch deutlich in den Sonderschauen EXEMPLA, TALENTE, SCHMUCK und MEISTER DER MODERNE erleben. Wesentlich machte sich auch die neue Lage in der Halle A1 (früher A2) bemerkbar. Nach sehr groben Schätzungen haben 120.000 - 140.000 Besucher diese Sonderschauen angesehen. Der Andrang hielt auch über das Wochenende bis zuletzt an. Manchmal mußten die Besucher Schlange stehen, um einen Blick auf die Exponate erhaschen zu können.

Die Sonderschau TALENTE zeigte die Arbeiten 91 Teilnehmern aus 23 Ländern. Die Werkbereiche: Technik, Glas, Keramik, Kunststoff, Lack, Metall, Möbel, Schmuck, Textil und Typographie/Buchkunst. 55 junge Aussteller kamen eigens angereist. Am Wochenende 18./19. März wurden die TALENTE-Preise  von einer internationalen Jury vergeben.

TALENTE wird seit 1980 von der Handwerkskammer für München und Oberbayern organisiert.





On 22 March, the International Fair for Crafts and Trades 2006 closed its gates. Its new concept paid off: Attendence increased by 14% to 206.000 visitors this year. The special shows EXEMPLA, TALENTE, SCHMUCK and MEISTER DER MODERNE drew a particular benefit due to their new position in hall A1. The run lasted well over the weekend up to the very last day of the fair. At times, the exhibitions were so crowded that visitors needed to queue to catch a glimpse of the objects.

In TALENTE 2006, the works of 91 exhibitors of 23 countries were displayed. Craft sections: Technology, glass, ceramics, plastics, lacquer works, furniture, jewellery, textiles and typography/book binding. 55 young exhibitors travelled to Munich to see the exhibition and to meet peers. An international jury selected the winners of the TALENTE Prize 2006 on the weekend 18/19 March.

TALENTE is organised by the Chamber of Crafts and Trades for Munich and Upper Bavaria since 1980.
